uld spend hours telling stories and singing songs.

Marie's father's favorite pastime was to sneak up to the barn and listen. Marie became a source of pride for her father and he would tell everyone he met about her amazing stories and singing voice. Marie's brother, Bill, jealous of the attention Marie received from her father wished he could tell stories and sings songs like her.

One day in the forest, Bill met an enchantress who offered to grant him a wish. Marie's brother knew exactly what he wanted. The enchantress gave Bill a magical book and told him that he would receive the talents of first person who opened it.

Marie excitedly opened the book. Instantly things in the room began to spin pulling Marie into the book.  Bill, not wanting his father to find out what he had done, hid the book in the barn trapping Marie forever.  On windy days the wind would ripple through the pages of the book.

People passing by would swear they heard a girl’s voice singing and telling stories.
